Create an open, airy dream gym that balances serious fitness needs with aesthetic appeal, incorporating custom equipment and personalized branding throughout.
The clients wanted to transform a blank white garage into their ideal home gym. It needed to feel open despite low ceilings (just above 8 feet), and seamlessly integrate custom branded equipment, including dumbbells, jade green accents, and functional movement turf. The design also had to solve challenges around equipment height, power sourcing for cardio machines, and inlaid flooring. Additionally, the space required a balance of functionality and style to match the luxury of the home, utilizing the natural light from large windows overlooking the yard and chicken coop.
We approached this project with a focus on customization and sustainability. The gym features two Eleiko half racks, including one with revolving pull-up bar handles, custom clear-coated dumbbells with engraved logos, and wooden dumbbells made sustainably in the UK. A custom jade green turf with laser-engraved logos was laid down the center for functional exercises, like sled pushes. Woodway treadmills were sourced and placed strategically to maximize space. Low ceiling height considerations were addressed by selecting equipment that would fit without sacrificing performance. Flooring was inlaid with precision, and power was installed for the cardio equipment. Large mirrors and interior design elements brought the space together, offering an airy, open feel that still met the clients' rigorous fitness demands.
The result is a sleek, personalized home gym that balances serious fitness with elegance. The custom equipment and branded elements reinforce the clients' unique style, while the airy layout, abundant natural light, and jade green accents create a welcoming yet functional environment. The gym is now a stunning extension of their home, offering a perfect blend of aesthetics and performance.
